The Viimsi Open Air Museum is a complex of 150-year-old beach houses on the picturesque seashore of Pringi village in Viimsi. The Viimsi Open Air Museum is a cultural monument under national protection. Visitors can enjoy the everyday activities of the villagers, farm work and sea going, rest periods and village holidays, market days and holidays. Thematic programs and traditional events lead visitors to an exciting journey all year round, combining old customs with traditions of modern coastal people. The seashore and the historic coastal village provide breathtaking views and memorable moments. The famous “sprat bar” is opened from the beach of the museum to Tallinn. For children there is a joyful swinging paddle and farm animals. Every Saturday and Sunday throughout the year, a farm market is delivered to the museum yard where only Estonian food and fresh fish are sold. Fish and sea inspired souvenirs, gifts and furnishings are also available at the museum shop.
