Salto Chorrolato is a multistep waterfall, located in the village of San Félix in the municipality of Bello, that is considered as one of the symbols of this municipality.
The total height of the cascade from its base is more than 200 meters, being one of the highest waterfalls in Colombia. The cascade consists of 3 falls: Tobogán, Veil of the Sirena and The Great Veil. They are connected by huge so called pockets up to 8 meters deep.
The cascade is visible from practically all the municipality of Bello (where it is located); besides the municipality of Copacabana and wide sectors of the Antioquia East and North.
Currently, several extreme sports take place in this place, such as canyoning and paragliding , as well as being a privileged place for spas and landscaping.
Its name is due to a grammatical contraction between the word Chorro (synonym of cascade in Colombia) and Hato (name of the gulch where cascade is formed), which would give a literal meaning "Chorro del Hato".
