The castle was built by Jakob Enevoldsen Seefeld in 1575 - 76 and rebuilt in 1748 - 1796, but the farm is already mentioned from the middle of the 14th century . Visborggaard is situated on 10 hectares of park, which is publicly accessible for a fee, and 6 hectares of horticulture. Visborggard was a residence for people with mental illness from 1932 to 2017 . There was room for 46 residents, divided into 5 groups. In September 2017, the residents moved in to the new residence in Molhøj in Hadsund https://da.wikipedia.org/wiki/Visborgg%C3%A5rd
