The Pigeon Rock is a famous Lebanese tourist attraction close to the beach of the Raouche area in the West Beirut. The Pigeon Rock was, over the years, a place for conducting national, social, sports and other activities, as it was climbed by some adventurers and amateurs, and its rock came up with flags and banners that have indications and occasions, so that some candidates for the Lebanese parliamentary elections put their pictures during the civil war period. In November 2015 Lebanese and French flags were illuminated, in solidarity with France after the terrorist attack in Paris. The rock is aslo called Raouche rock and the rock of love and it is also called the suicide rock , despite the fact that suicides are rare in them and often occur in the bay opposite the rock.
