If you drive from Stegastein Viewpoint to the Oslo direction, you can keep driving on mountain road to Lærdalsøyri village, from where you can get to the highway to Oslo. And the mountain road Stegastein Viewpoint - Lærdalsøyri village is so spectacular! We saw this beautiful lake aside of the road and stopped nearby at a kind of picnic point for a lunch. We really enjoyed this spectacular place. We also found that it is a place for fishing (subject to some small fee).
