875 North Michigan Avenue

875 North Michigan Avenue, built as and still commonly referred to as the John Hancock Center is a 100-story, 1,128-foot supertall skyscraper in Chicago, Illinois, United States. The building, which is located in the Magnificent Mile district, was known as the John Hancock Center prior to February 12, 2018.

The building was named for John Hancock Mutual Life Insurance Company, a developer and original tenant of the building.[citation needed] On February 12, 2018, John Hancock Insurance requested that its name and logos throughout the building’s interior be removed immediately.
