The Monastery is a complex of monastic buildings and church dated 16th-17th centuries, located in the village of Mezhyrich The Holy Trinity orthodox church was built in the 16th century by kniaz (duke) Ostrozky family. In the beginning of 17th century fortifications were erected, becase this area was often plundered by Crimean tatars. And in 1609 the monastery and its church was granted to the Franciscan order. During this time the town of Mezhyrich was granted the rights of Magdeburg law. The towers of the monastery and the church have been well preserved. The monastery is very interesting architectural monuments because of its layout and mix of religious, secular, defensive features. The interior of the church was painted by students of the famous Russian painter of the late 19th and early 20th centuries Viktor Vasnetsov.
