Siklawa is the largest waterfall in Poland and also considered as the most beautiful one. It is also called the Great Waterfall. It is fed by water flowing from the pond and depending on the level of water in this pond, it flows down two, three or even four streams. In the case of a high level, falling water from a height of about 70 meters, can cause a powerful noise. Siklawa is the main destination for tourists visiting the Roztoki Valley. It was the destination of mountain tours since the beginning of the 19th century. It is often described by poets and drawn by artists. The tourist trail leads either orographically to the right of the waterfall through a long post-glacial smoothing belt (so-called Danielki). These are dangerous places when they are icy.
Siklawa presents itself the best on sunny days, just after heavy rainfall that occurs in this region of the Tatras. A good time to visit this place is also early spring, when snow melts in the Valley of Five Ponds.
